Good lord. Actually, one of my biggest peeves is automakers having an emblem with their name written out (eg "SUBARU")
Everyone knows it's a Subaru. You put the logo badge on it. Stop wasting chromed plastic extrusions.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:21 |

Needs some of those lifestyle badges.

MOAR CHROME LETTERS!!!
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:21 |

Yo Dog, I heard you like badges...
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:23 |
|
I'm not certain, about that being a Subaru, but perhaps some more badges would clear that up for me.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:27 |

I forgot about those, and also very crooked, someone should remove that arts badge
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:28 |
|
Yeah that's pretty infuriating.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:32 |
|
Where's that E-Class with the (stock!) badges all across the entire rear?
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:37 |
|
Here's ours.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:41 |
|
But does it have ABS?? What about DOHC? I can't tell without a badge
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:43 |
|
Is it a turbo? Does it have an automatic? Is it a special edition? INQUIRING MINDS WANT TO KNOW
![]() 10/14/2014 at 16:46 |
|
Is that real? Like merit badges? Do you have to go to a camp counselor and have a quiz before you're awarded one?
![]() 10/14/2014 at 17:52 |
|
Why? If I were to own one, I'd at least de-badge the left side. People know its a Subaru and will assume its AWD.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 18:48 |
|
Does it have PECS? Or GLUTES??
![]() 10/14/2014 at 19:30 |
|
Yeah, that is a bit excessive. A) we know it's AWD, it's a US-market Subaru. You've built your whole brand over the last two decades by marketing yourselves as having "symetrical AWD with good emmpeegeees standard", you can't buy a Subaru here without AWD, so it's not like it's a special feature. You don't put giant "Seat Belts" badges on the back.
Also, PZEV, is that important enough to put back there? Most companies just put a sticker in a side window or something.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 21:19 |
|
You pretty much answered your own question, mate.
Because excessive emblems.
![]() 10/14/2014 at 23:05 |
|
Just be glad it isn't a turbo wrx, sti rs version...
![]() 10/14/2014 at 23:17 |
|
SUBARU?!?! IMPOSSIBRU!!!!
![]() 10/15/2014 at 07:48 |
|
Yes. Yes. No, you just buy them.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 10:28 |

What. The. Flying. Hell.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 10:29 |
|
Lots of room for more emblems. Slacker.
Why the blanked out plate?
![]() 10/15/2014 at 10:33 |
|
It is an actual thing you can buy from Subaru.

The parts guys must rag on the customers that actually buy this shit.
I know I would. This is worse than the stick-figure family.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 10:58 |

But you can tell the world that this is your 5th Subaru, you own a dog and are into snow shoeing.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 11:00 |
|
Just wait for the inevitable spinoff emblems, to let the world know you're into swinging, crystal meth, exhibitionism and butt sex. Thanks Subaru.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 11:05 |

I, for one, welcome our new emblem overlords.

But ... you need to know I'm a doggy grandma! It is vitally important to my identity as a person to let you know that my children have a dog!

Exception being
![]() 10/15/2014 at 15:24 |
|
Well, in this case, their logo badge is their name. Acceptable. Ford, Land Rover, et al are in the same boat. If they had another badge with their name written out, I'd get right over there and slap the crap out of them.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 15:28 |
|
You mean like this?
Still acceptable IMHO.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 15:42 |
|
I need more reference. It shouldn't say "JEEP" twice on any single surface.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 16:03 |
|
They're actually free
![]() 10/15/2014 at 16:14 |
|
never forget that most people are stupid and will not realize that most subarus only come in awd. it's advertising and probably the #1 reason my mom drives a subaru.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 16:23 |

But but but rally badge
![]() 10/15/2014 at 16:27 |
|
Okay... THAT one gets a pass. For obvious reasons.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 17:55 |

Differential placements. Windshield for the "Sarge" logo (lights and grill). The decal on raised panel is on the side and there is also a jeep logo (word only on the front above the grill).

And
![]() 10/15/2014 at 20:01 |
|
Love the color on that.
![]() 10/15/2014 at 20:19 |
|
It's free.

TIL
![]() 10/16/2014 at 10:52 |
|
The new Porsche 911's are worse than that, they kept putting letters on until they ran out of room.. a blow dryer and dental floss will relieve the car of the ridiculous amount of badging
![]() 10/16/2014 at 10:56 |
|
Sure, but Subaru is still the biggest abuser
![]() 10/16/2014 at 21:36 |
|
but they don't have the lifestyle badges for hunting or target shooting. I asked :)
![]() 10/17/2014 at 08:09 |
|
That's weird. Seems like something Subaru owners would do.
![]() 10/19/2014 at 10:13 |

![]() 10/22/2014 at 22:25 |

They allow the first two(?) for free along with the main 1st/2nd/28th badge. You order by VIN so my plan was to get as many Subaru vins from friends and cars on eBay and order a shit ton to make a long ass badge like that.... then I un-retarded myself and got the 200k+, the rally one, and a wrench. Because when you rally a 200k Subaru, shit breaks.
![]() 10/23/2014 at 07:50 |
|
If you're rallying and shit doesn't break you probably weren't rallying hard enough.
![]() 10/23/2014 at 18:02 |
|
Buy? You get these for free when you buy a car from them. I still have mine (because they never went on the car)
![]() 10/23/2014 at 20:33 |
|
There's a factory option to remove everything but the P O R S C H E
![]() 10/23/2014 at 23:56 |
|
Or you can DIY, like I have done. Dental floss and a heat gun, everything comes off...
![]() 10/24/2014 at 03:18 |
|
WHERE ARE YOUR BADGES :D
![]() 10/24/2014 at 08:24 |
|
Yeah. You're the third person to tell me this in this and nine days after the other two.
![]() 10/24/2014 at 09:07 |
|
what can I say? I'm timely and interesting.
![]() 10/24/2014 at 09:29 |

Those are exactly the first two words that popped into my mind to describe you. Followed by green.
